TOTAL FABRICATION, a Special Effects/Make-Up
Creature Studio and Costuming company is
responsible for such diverse creations as costumes
and creatures for STAR TREK VOYAGER, BIG BAD
BEETLEBORGS, KRAA THE SEA MONSTER, the infamous
killer snowman film JACK FROST, villain costumes
for TURBO; A POWER RANGERS MOVIE, characters for the THE NEW CAPTAIN
KANGAROO TV Show, and work with Rob Botin on FEAR AND LOATHING IN
LAS VEGAS. Other feature film credits include: THE
HALFWAY HOUSE, JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK,
TREASURE ISLAND, THE CLOWN AT MIDNIGHT and NINE
MONTHS. Other Television Show credits include:
MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE, COMEDY CENTRAL, POWER
RANGERS, BZOTS,
WHAMMY, and WHEEL OF FORTUNE. TV Commercials
include: Pepsi, Sprint, Dodge, Toyota, Coca
Cola, Kraft, Heineken, Nintendo, Sony PlayStation,
Clorets and others.
TOTAL FABRICATION was formed in 1995 by Kenneth
J. Hall, Founder & President. Located in North
Hollywood, the company has been producing
outstanding creations for a wide variety of
clients. and has become a well-regarded Effects
House serving the film, television and themed
entertainment markets all over the United States. TOTAL FABRICATION also works in association with SOTA/FX, a Special Effects/Make-Up & Visual
Effects Company, owned by Roy Knyrim. SOTA/FX feature film credits include:
THE ABYSS, ED WOOD, WEIRD SCIENCE, GODS AND
MONSTERS, SKY HIGH, SPAWN, DARKMAN and CLIFFORD,
Television shows include THE PRETENDER, EARTH 2,
and PROFILER, and TV commercials for: Netflix,
Yahoo, Ford, Bud Light and Coca-Cola among others.
During Ken Hall's years working as a
writer/producer/director, he also became
established as a Make-up/effects Artist and
Special Effects Creature/Costume fabricator. Among
his best known creatures are the 16 Ft. star of
Roger Corman's CARNOSAUR (+sequels), a 20 Ft. Sea
beast for MAGIC IN THE WATER and the giant octopus
prop from Tim Burton's ED WOOD. Ken moved to
Hollywood in 1982, where he first became
established as a Make-Up Effects artist, working
on numerous Hollywood features, including THE
TERMINATOR, GREMLINS II, BATMAN RETURNS, ADDAMS
FAMILY VALUES, and CONEHEADS. He was shop
supervisor at Mechanical & Makeup Imageries,
overseeing several Productions and Crews of up to
45 people. He was Visual Effects
Supervisor/Effects 2nd Unit Director on TALES FROM
THE HOOD, a Savoy Picture executive produced by
Spike Lee. Silver Creek Pictures is fortunate to
have TOTAL FABRICATION offer creative services on
a project-by-project basis for projects in
Development, Pre-production and Production.
