JESSE SHERMAN
Producer/Screenwriter Development
and Acquisitions
Jesse Sherman has been involved in
the Production and Development of Feature Films
for several years. He served as Associate Producer
on the Independent Feature Film ONE BAD
MICE(1997). He
Produced and Co-wrote the Independent Feature
Films: YOUNG PRODUCERS (1999) and CREEPTALES
(2004) Starring Tom Kenny. Sherman was also in
charge of Film Acquisitions on CREEPTALES and
was involved in securing Distribution. He's
raised Venture Capital for Feature Films and has
experience with contract negotiations. He has
written and co-written several screenplays
including: YOUNG PRODUCERS, NIGHTCREEPS, OLD
MOVIES, CREEPTALES, THE WRITERS and MAD LAB.
Sherman placed as a Quarter-Finalist, and twice as
a Simi-Finalist in The Writer's Network National
Screenplay Competition. He's had past
representation for Screenwriting in L.A. and has been represented as
Talent in L.A. and Dallas by franchised
Agents.
Sherman watched classic Monster Movies, and read
"Famous Monsters of Film Land" magazine as a
kid, later having Famous Monster's Editor Forrest
Ackerman serve as Creative Consultant on
his production CREEPTALES (2004). At an early
age, he began his career on the Late-Night TV show
"The Museum of Horrors," from NBC Affiliate
KXAS TV Channel 5 in
Dallas/Ft.Worth, performing on TV, in live shows,
and working on the crew. Then he landed a role in
a CBS TV Movie, and his first National TV
commercial. He produced and performed in a Blues
Brothers Review, as well as comedy Halloween
shows, and Character comedy shows at the Funny
Bone, Dallas Improv, and other venues. Sherman
became an Associate Producer with Ritchey
Productions, a company involved in Feature Film
Development and Live High-Voltage Electrical
Special Effects for Film, amusement parks and
science shows. Sherman was also involved in
the Development of a Special Make-Up Effects
Company.
Sherman became Managing General Partner for
Productions West Communications. The company was
involved in Trade Shows, Special Events, Studio
Rentals, Graphics, Video Production, and Variety
Talent. After Productions West, he was President
of Monarch Films, Inc. He developed Feature Film
Projects including a Film version of Erskin
Caldwell's TOBACCO ROAD, THE ELECTRUS, and
NIGHTCREEPS, with Director/Writer Frank De Palma
(Tales From the Dark Side) to direct, and
with Legendary Screen Actor John Carradine to
Star. NIGHTCREEPS later became the Independent
Film CREEPTALES (2004). Sherman is currently
developing CREEPTALES 2, BOGMAN, MAD LAB and other
Feature Projects. With Silver Creek
Pictures, Sherman's goal is to
deliver quality
Feature Film Entertainment, form new
alliances, explore new markets and ride
the wave of Digital Technology in the Film
Industry.
